SYNOPSIS
Cat Call is about a thirty-year-old girl, Fáni, who has long given up on love, but one day a black cat appears in her life.
Fani is a successful architect, but she is still a girl at heart, so she falls for the macho Cat, even though the cat's voice can be heard by her alone. The unusual romance takes increasingly strange twists and turns, until Fáni is driven so low by the narcissistic Cat that she almost loses everything she has ever cared about.
But what does Mihály, the cat's charming owner, think?
The real stakes of the film are whether the protagonist, Fáni, will realise that she is stuck in the past and tries to escape into a dream world as a result.

A bit of tease
Rozália Szeleczki
director, writer
This is Rozi’s debut feature film. In 2021 she won the national Incubator programme, allowing her bold story idea to come to life and soon to delight the audiences looking for a great deal of wittiness and charm.

“This film is important to me because in this fairy-tale, absurd world, it is possible to portray dramatic life situations with humour and lightness.”
